Southwinds Camping is the perfect spot for a relaxing camping holiday for families and couples. Taking in the beautiful panoramic views of the coast and countryside you can sit and relax at your pitch or choose to adventure at the nearby coast, beach and villages. Polzeath village and beach is just over ½ a mile walk, via the public footpath.

We welcome families & couples. (Couples 21+, no unaccompanied teenagers or young adult parties)

A maximum of 6 people may stay on one pitch, in one camping unit. The pitch price includes 1 vehicle per pitch, this can be parked by your Tent/Van/Caravan. Any extra vehicles must be booked in at reception and parked in the parking area provided.

Tents

Lundy Field This is our tent only field, the pitches will accommodate larger sized family tents, all pitches have electric hook up access.

Stepper Field Silver pitches in this field are available to book for tents, available peak season only.

Trenant Field as of 2024 season smaller family sized tents will be able to reserve a pitch on our Prime and Standard pitches.

Southwinds Field Small tents can book onto standard pitches in this field, Pitch 15 & 16 do not have hook-up available.

Budget Area This is the central area for 1 or 2 man tents no ECU, also available for small Campervans.

Motorhomes, Caravans, & Campervans

Please enter the length of the vehicle and the system will advise which pitches are appropriate for your vehicle.

Pitched attached awnings/Drive away awnings are allowed, a Tent in place of an awning is not permitted.

Facilities

Showers, toilets, dish washing sinks, and laundry facilities are open 24 hours. We may close them in rotation for cleaning purposes during the day.

Showers are free to use.

BBQ’s

We ask that all BBQs are on legs, raised above the grass to prevent burns and scorching. Disposable BBQs are not permitted. No Firepits or Campfires please. No burning of Logs. (This is for everyone’s safety)

Payment terms

We ask for a deposit of 25% or £55 minimum to secure your booking. The full balance is due 28 days before your arrival date. Bookings made less than 28 days before the arrival date will be required to pay in full.

No refunds are available for any cancellations or amendments made less than 28 days before the arrival date.
